Share your PowerPoint Presentations Online
Do you have an effective way to share a presentation with a customer you cannot meet with? We needed one recently to share our Realtor Sales Presentation with someone who preferred not to meet in person.
The solution – slideshare. Slideshare will allow you to upload your PowerPoint or other slideshow program files to be watched online. This way, you can simply send a link to your client rather than sending the whole Presentation file. Another option is to embed the slideshow into your website.
Here’s how to do it:
1. Sign up for a free account at www.slideshare.net.
2. On the top of the slideshare home page, click Upload.
3. Next click “Browse and select files…”
4. Find the Presentation file on your computer and click Open.
5. Wait for the file to upload.
6. Click Publish. (You can choose to make the presentation private if you wish in the privacy box.)
7. Wait about a few minutes minutes for the publishing to complete.
8. Click on My Slidespace at the top of the screen. Here you should see your new presentation on the screen. If not, wait a minute and refresh.
9. Click on the presentation.
10. You should now be able to see the presentation.
11. You can Use the Share button on top to send a link to anyone or you can just copy the URL and send it in an email.
Example: http://www.slideshare.net/jondcoleman/managing-curb-appeal
OPTIONAL: Getting the code to embed this onto your website or blog.
12. Under the presentation, click “more share options.”
13. Scroll down to the “Embed” section.
14. Select all of the text within the “Without related presentations” box.
15. Copy this HTML code and place it in your website where you want it.
Example: www.cliplawncare.com/curbappeal.aspx.
Ideas for how to use this:
- Presentation of your services including pictures of work done.
- Landscape Design Presentation that the customer can access anytime after you meet with them.
- Explanation of your Lawn Treatment Program.
Feel free to comment below if you have any other ideas for usage or questions about the service.
